Scope of Services / Healthcare System

CMU and its healthcare system are constantly reaching out to build up a healthcare system for the needs of the public. There are five affiliated hospitals in the system: CMUH,Children's Hospital,Beigang Hospital, Tainan Municipal Annan Hospital,and Hsinchu Hospital, as well as several partner institutions. Founded in 1980, CMUH in Taichung has seven medical buildings, 2,321 beds, and 6,418 employees. It has 219,000 outpatient visits, 13,000 emergency visits, 7,300 inpatient admissions, and 5,900 surgeries per month, making it a trusted medical center and an important health fortress for patients nationwide and worldwide.
