Medical Device: Vertebral Plate

Description of the Medical Device

This titanium plate is implanted to connect the vertebra and secure them as a whole to provide better bone fusion after anterior spinal decompression procedure.  

When to Use

Spine stenosis or spondylolisthesis.  

Possible Side Effects

• Vertebral plate spondylolisthesis that results in dysphagia or esophagus injury.
• Topical infection.

Care after the Procedure

• Change the dressing regularly and keep the wound dry.
• Consult with your physician or nurses about when to wear the assisting device.
